Knowledgeable, tenacious, and a great listener, JoAn Kenmotsu is a Cibola veteran three times over! Having first joined the company as a designer in 1984, she left four years later to start a family, then later took a second hiatus to obtain her architecture license. Serving as Project Design Lead at Cibola since 2008, JoAn has once again fallen in love with the company’s culture and Clients.
“Anyone who has ever left Cibola knows the hardest part is leaving behind the incredible people who work here,” says JoAn. “This is a special place filled with unique viewpoints, backgrounds and talents, and when those talents come together it yields outstanding results.”
JoAn’s gift for listening is reflected in the quality of her designs. She is adept at eliciting a Client’s needs and transforming them into spaces that consistently exceed expectations. JoAn’s innate abilities are augmented by her architectural license and her expert command of Building Information Modeling (BIM). Add to that years of experience in space planning, construction documentation, and construction administration, and it’s easy to see why JoAn is such a respected member of the Cibola design team.
“Collaborating with fellow team members is crucial. I learn from their strengths, and when the time is right, I contribute my own insights. Building up everyone’s knowledge and understanding is the key to group success.”
